Augustiana is a cultural-historical and architectural gem overlooking Augustenborg Fjord.  It has a long and varied history and is destined to have an exciting future as an international art park and art gallery.

Since 2009, the elegant mansions adjacent to Augustenborg Palace have housed art activities. Until 2018, they housed a commercial art centre and sculpture park.

Augustiana was acquired by Sønderborg Municipality in 2018 and is currently being developed into an open and dynamic cultural institution with a focus on professional and internationally-oriented contemporary art.

A varied exhibition and activity programme takes place in the Art Gallery, while the Art Park outside forms the setting for various works of art, projects and events.

The White Mansion is used for temporary exhibitions. As the buildings are renovated, more square metres will be included for exhibition and outreach activities.

There is free admission to the exhibitions and activities in the Art Gallery.

Opening hours: 12.00-16.00 (closed on Mondays). Winter closing in December and January.

The Art Park is open all year round.
