In the former town hall is the art centre KunstVærket. It consists of 61 art workshops and studios. The building forms an “art axis” through the town together with KunstPunkt in the old Post Office and Augustiana Art Park & Art Gallery in the White Mansion.

KunstVærket opened in 2014 and has three floors. On the ground floor are the painters and illustrators. The weavers and potters work in the basement where there is also a café called Café Smagløs. On the first floor is Kulturcaféen, where small concerts, presentations and film evenings are held.

KunstVærket is open to the public on the last weekend of the month from 11.00 to 16.00, when many of the artists are present and working in their workshops.
